The LOMO Story

My name is Leonela, also known as Leonis, and I am the founder and curator of Love & Modesty (LOMO). This brand brings together my lifelong love of fashion, my faith, and my desire to help women feel confident in who God created them to be.

Even as a little girl, I was drawn to beautiful clothing and timeless style. I loved how an outfit could lift someone’s spirits and give her the confidence to walk into a room feeling like herself. As I grew older, my travels introduced me to different cultures, textures, colors, and ways women expressed their individuality. Those experiences continue to shape my vision for LOMO.

My journey as an entrepreneur has included both beginnings and setbacks. I first launched LOMO in 2012 with a heart full of passion, but without the clear direction I needed to sustain it. The business struggled, and I eventually stepped away. Looking back, I believe God was using that season to teach me, strengthen me, and prepare me to begin again with greater purpose.

In 2021, LOMO was reborn with a renewed vision.

LOMO is more than clothing.

As a mother, I know how easily our own needs can fall to the bottom of the list. Between raising children, building careers, and caring for the people we love, getting dressed can become one more task. I wanted to offer clothing that brings a little joy back to that moment—pieces that feel beautiful, comfortable, and attainable, while reflecting the values we carry.

Personal Style, Rooted in Faith

My vision for LOMO is to bring a fresh, fashion-forward perspective to modest dressing. I want women to have choices that feel current, feminine, and expressive, with beautiful colors, flattering silhouettes, and thoughtful details.

I believe women can enjoy fashion and express their personal style while honoring their faith. For me, modesty leaves room for creativity and individuality. It is a personal expression of conviction, confidence, and grace.

From resort dresses and matching sets to everyday essentials, I thoughtfully select pieces for the lives we actually live: church, work, vacations, family gatherings, brunch with friends, and the ordinary days that deserve beauty, too. My commitment is to offer elegant style at prices that make it easier to choose something for yourself.

A Community with Purpose

My heart for LOMO reaches beyond the wardrobe. I am building a community where women feel seen, welcomed, and encouraged to become all that God created them to be.

My hope is that we celebrate one another’s gifts, support each other through new beginnings, and make room for honest stories of growth. Whether you are raising a family, pursuing a dream, rediscovering yourself, or stepping into a new calling, there is a place for you here.
